The Weirding Woods, a zombies-only preserve.Mount Steep which is dedicated to plants only. There are three distinct areas within the game, each of which has its own collectibles for you to gather, unique rewards, diverse quests and delightfully engaging boss battles. There is also a Plants vs Zombies own brand of death match called Team Vanquish in which you play with and against every other player to be the last man standing. You can also access those tried and tested favourites, the eight versus eight and twelve versus twelve battles, along with Gnome Bomb and Suburbination which return from the previous games in the series.
There are the above-mentioned Player versus Player matches, and there are also Turf Wars in which you must be the first to attain all the objectives. There are a tremendous number of gameplay classes – up to twenty! – all neatly categorised and designated so you can navigate easily and choose the right options for your kind of play. The game has excellent Player versus Environment offerings, but it has not forgotten its multiplayer fans either: there are magnificent multiplayer zones where you can play four-on-four as well as other Player versus Player against other online gamers. You can access these hubs via the ‘start’ menu which will make your life a little easier until you have explored enough to be comfortable with using the interconnecting hubs which can otherwise be a little daunting and cause you to get lost at first! This whole area is your central hub for the game, where you can access other areas, make tweaks to your playing character’s form, gear and clothing etc. Plants and Zombies both have private head quarter areas, and a mixed ‘socialising’ zone lies between these. The Player versus Environment areas are large and open world, so you can wander around as much as you like, returning to favourite spots and gathering loot from the areas that you know have the highest yield. And there is a lot for you to explore and do. The chilled and laid back gameplay allows you to thoroughly engage with the environment, exploring every nook and cranny of the locale without having to worry about over zealous other gamers coming in and shooting you, grabbing all the loot before you can react to their arrival. This is the third of the Plants vs Zombies franchise and unlike the carefully plotted maps of the first game and the exciting head-to-heads of the second, this game focuses on fun and fairly undemanding Player versus Environment gameplay.
Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville for PC is a fun and carefree first person shooter in which colourful cartoon plants and zombies battle for supremacy.
